This small book was not written with the intention of presenting all the doctrines and teachings of the Christian Church in their entirety. It would be impossible to discuss every aspect of the topics mentioned here within the limits of such a small book. Nevertheless, its purpose is to demonstrate that the teachings of our Church regarding matters such as baptism, the Christian Sabbath (Lord’s Day), speaking in tongues, and similar subjects are firmly based on and consistent with the Holy Bible.
Many members of our Church who do not possess a deep knowledge of the Scriptures often become confused about issues such as infant baptism, believer’s baptism administered after reaching maturity, and whether baptism should be performed by sprinkling or by immersion. Likewise, many are unable to recognize that the teachings of groups such as Jehovah’s Witnesses and Seventh-day Adventists contradict the divine truths clearly revealed in the New Testament.
It is my prayer that this book will help such people gain a clearer understanding of these biblical truths and protect them from being caught in the net of false teachings. May it also help them remain firmly rooted in the Church and live a true Christian life.
This book has been written as a response to a work entitled “Thadumaatrathirkku Thakka Vidai” (“An Appropriate Answer to Confusion”), written by Oommen. In addition, I have included several new topics that are relevant to the present time.
I also wish to express my gratitude to the Christian Historical Society for publishing this book.
